About Laurelhurst Veterinary Hospital
There has been a veterinary hospital at this location on Sandy Boulevard since 1929. Three veterinarians have owned the practice during this time - Dr. Norman, Dr. Ruggles and Dr. Anderson. The modern facility we are in today was constructed in 1981 and in 1983, the hospital was accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.

Our Staff
Our team of healthcare professionals includes doctors of veterinary medicine, certified animal health technicians, receptionists, veterinary assistants and a hospital manager. Our dedicated staff is our greatest asset. Each member of our staff pursues continuing education to keep current on the latest medical advances and techniques. We also implement staff training regularly in the form of staff development forums. These meetings are aimed at developing our staff in ways that will enhance our ability to serve you our clients, in the best ways possible.

The American Animal Hospital Association accredited Laurelhurst Veterinary Hospital in 1983. To be an accredited AAHA hospital member, our hospital must meet the Association’s high standards for quality veterinary care. Our hospital is regularly evaluated by trained AAHA professionals to maintain the standards and provide the best veterinary care that we can.
We are proud of the fact we are an AAHA accredited hospital member. Less than 18 percent of small animal veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada can claim this distinction.
